With nearly a decade of experience spanning all levels of government, Nikki has been a leader in the communications arena. Her most recent position was Deputy Director of Communications for Governor Ron DeSantis, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the state's health messaging strategy.
Nikki served as Director of Communications at the Florida Department of Health, demonstrating her expertise in navigating complex public health narratives.
Nikki's career in state government has been marked by a steady progression, serving as a Senior Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez. Prior to her work in Tallahassee, she served the people of Hialeah and Miami Lakes as the Director of Communications for Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban 'Steve' Bovo in 2019. Her journey in public service began in the office of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, where she served as a Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant in Washington, DC.
Nikki's commitment to professional development is evident through her participation as a Leaders Fellow at the James Madison Institute in 2017, her involvement in the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Millennial Cohort Leadership Network in 2020, and recognition as a Rising Star of Florida Politics in INFLUENCE Magazine in 2023.
A Miami native of Cuban descent, Nikki holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and earned her Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Miami.
